Yvi is a new magazine, each issue of which will be devoted to a different (social) theme.
It is conceived, developed and produced by artists. This first issue of Yvi Magazine charts the theme of borders in different ways: literally, through different techniques of cartography and mapping; figuratively, through photographic reports from around the entire globe, each visualizing its own experience of a border; and by artists using their own personal situation as a starting point in
creating visual projects and/or attempting to resolve a given border-related problem. It contains works of David Maisel, Pierre Crom, Jeanne van Heeswijk, Tanja Ostojic, the Border Film Project, Piet Den Blanken, Daniel Traub, Sanjit Das and many more. |
