BranD 33 – Typepro: Asia

BranD 33 – Typepro: Asia | Perhaps it is not a leading-edge thing to do a font design theme at this time, for the font design has been talked about a lot nowadays. It is just like a blooming flower, the artists and designers all praise it in their own way. I truly hope to convey our understanding of the font in a more particular form, even try to record a bunch of keywords, but ultimately, they are overwhelmed by the “X” under the pen. At that time Mr. Katsumi Asaba’s articles and interviews were already completely translated, it seemed that Mr. Katsumi’s research on characters even made the time moved. Additionally, the font materials personally collected by Mr. Qing gong Jiang has restored exactly the development of Shanghai font. If this part is missing, all things are not complete. These are the most precious treasures we have harvested.

I have received Mr. Tony Seddon’s article finally, and this made me find the root of this theme–we don’t need to be deliberately mystifying and grandstand, just using the most genuine stories and the most original moment, the state of the font could be represented.

Hoping the 200 pages content of the issue of font design understanding this time is not adding fuel to the oil, but exactly a kind of returning to the beginning of the heart!
