Hunger is a biannual magazine from photographer and publisher, Rankin
Hunger is launched in November 2011 and provides a new platform for uncompromised self-expression, innovation and discovery. Working with both experienced and emerging talents in the arts, fashion and editorial, the magazine seeks out cultural progression and distinction.
Rankin about Hunger: ‘”The new magazine is about me being Hungry, not for something to eat – though I do like a nice meal – but to keep on creating and collaborating with like-minded people, who are also hungry to create,” he explained. “It’s my take on fashion, art, music and everything that basically interests me. The people and the work that excites me. I’ve always loved interesting illustration and artwork and, throughout my career as a photographer and publisher, I’ve been collaborating with people from different creative backgrounds. The Hunger features a lot of interviews and profiles great people from the arts, it seemed like a natural choice to have some of these demonstrating their talents and adding their own touch to the magazine. There’s an understanding to be taken from it, I think. And we hope it’s also beautiful to look at.”‘
